There have been over1000 entrants to the 2014 IGFin total, split between the Main and Student competitions. There were 350 entrants to the student prize alone which is heck of a lot of games. Rockstar has not officially confirmed PC release While it hasn’t been confirmed by Rockstar, the PC version ofGrand Theft Auto Vhas appeared on online retailer Amazon’s sites in the UK, France, and Germany. Current and unannounced titles With the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, this may just be the console generation that gets serious about MMOs. Publisher Perfect World Entertainment has announced its plans to get into console development, both with existing games currently out on PC and upcoming titles. “Bringing our titles to consoles is a natural progression for us, and we can’t wait to set a new standard for console MMORPGs and other genres,” said CEO Alan Chen....

House first joined Sony in 1990, and would help with the launch of the industry-shaping console, PlayStation in 1995. House finally took up the mantle of brand President in 2011, where he would see the company through the launch of the PlayStation 4 and PSVR....

In June, Sony patented something truly special. The patent is for a new controller that will utilize “hybrid video capture and ultrasonic tracking, but will still have some of that old silly stuff like buttons and analog sticks. It also breaks apart and can be used as a smashing weapon, or more likely, a Wii remote. Yet, unlike a Wii remote, this thing looks to be more of a three-dimensional sensing apparatus....
