The screens do a fine job of showing the many ways you can die, as you’ll see in our gallery. As you scroll through the shots you’ll see a scene where a guy is standing underneath a falling, exploding ball. It looks like something bad could happen, as seen above....

Self described arena shooter . Developer PsychoParrotGames has a new homemade trailer out now for shoot ’em upDeath Ray Manta, which isnow available as a universal app on iOS. At first glance, it looks like a colorfulGeometry Wars/Robotronhomage, and is described by the developer as an “arena shooter.” Personally, I’d describe it as an acid trip. If you’re interested but don’t have an iOS device it was already released on PC last year, and is currently attemptinga Steam Greenlight campaign....

The recent installment in Blizzard’s celebrated action-RPG series is literally collecting blood, with some potential hardware to come from it. A recent video on theDiabloYouTube channel invites players to donate blood (presumably their own) to their local clinic. In doing so, rewards will be on offer. From donating blood. To take that a step further, the studio is also looking to put together a custom PC that’s liquid cooled by 666 quarters of real human blood....

It’s no secret that virtually all the mainline Bethesda Game Studios RPGs are dreams come true for modders and modding communities. GivenStarfield‘s high marks, it’s exceedingly likely that it, too, will end up having a long tail when it comes to fan-made content, but one of the things that some may have hoped modders wouldn’t have to touch is VR support. Notably, while mods certainly can implement VR support into games that don’t have it by default, it sure would be nice ifStarfieldworked out of the box with VR headsets, wouldn’t it?...

Hearts of iron Electronic Arts has revealed a new Marvel project. Today, the publisher confirms that EA Motive is working on anIron Manvideo game. The seemingly untitled-for-now project will be a single-player, third-person action-adventure game starring Iron Man, Marvel’s suit-clad hero. EA Motive, the team behind this new project, has previously worked onStar Wars: Squadrons, and is heading up the newDead Spaceremakereleasing in January. According to theEA announcement, this game will feature an “original narrative” that taps into the history of Iron Man....
Hands-on with an early build Leading up to PAX Prime, Clapfoot released a trailer for its base defense shooterFortified. It caught my eye for a few reasons, notably the ’50s sci-fi movie theme and its general resemblance to Double Fine’sIron Brigade(formerlyTrenched). There aren’t too many games like it. The build playable at PAX was fairly early in development but offered a decent enough idea of what to expect. Aliens are invading the city and you and up to three friends need to shoot them down, one wave at a time....

The latest in the chaotic open-world series, developed by Avalanche Studios, is set to blow in just a few short days. In the trailer, we visit the encampment of militant coup The Black Hand, coming face to face with their fearless leaderGabriela Morales. More than slightly pissed off at the loss of an outpost, the badass antagonist interrogates one of her wounded soldiers about the carnage from which he barely escaped....
