The near half-hour preview includes crisp 4K PS4 Pro footage of gameplay, recorded across five different game modes from five different maps. The modes include Domination, Headquarters, the all-new Cyber Attack and the classic Team Deathmatch, with battles taking place on Hackney Yard, Gun Runner, Aniyah Palace and Azhir Cave, that latter of which featuring a night variant....
Even though the first four games have been ported to Sony portables Disgaea 1and2were ported to the PSP, andDisgaea 3and4were ported to the Vita, allowing handheld gamers to enjoy the series. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like the PS4-boundDisgaea 5will get that same treatment — at least, not anytime soon. Koei was showing its new DS RPGMonster Racerson the E3 showfloor, and it’s actually looking like it could be a lot of fun. It’s Koei’s attempt to capture a part of thePokémonmarket, but with more interactivity. The conceit here is that instead of battling, monsters race each other. The clue is in the name! Races are sidescrolling platforming affairs, and Koei was demonstrating the multiplayer at its booth. I gave the game a whirl against a very pretty Japanese lady and somebody from NIS and actually had quite a bit of fun with it, especially when it came to using the crazy special skills that the adorable little monsters have....
Yesterday we told you that Konami pulled the plug on Iraq-based shooter, Atomic Games’Six Days inFallujah. Konami PR was quoted as saying “we decided not to sell it” after hearing some of thenegative pressthe game was attracting. Regardless of the “too soon” factor, itsounded like a pretty good game. Too bad Konami pussed out. It turns out that Atomic games had no idea what was about to happen with their relationship with Konami....

This YouTube leak is supposedly an early cut with placeholders for some audio cues, and it lines up with a2010 Hollywood Reporter storyabout the series — which lends credence to the fact that this isn’t just a recent fan production....

Limited run of 3,800 copies Guacameleeis one of those games that really stuck in my mind when I played it so many years ago. Not only does it lovingly recreate the Metroidvania formula in a way that many other developers hadn’t thought of, but it also had a lot of unique personality injected in by DrinkBox Studios. Witty writing, fun Easter eggs, great level design, hidden secrets (like conspicuous QR codes) — it’s all there, and that’s partly why it gets a yearly playthrough....

Taking notes from Theatrhythm I see Yesterday we delivered word of a game calledFinal Fantasy: World Wide Words, which sort of plays likeTyping of the Dead. Thankfully we now have an idea of what the game looks like thanks to a few screens out in the wild, and it seems to heavily borrow fromTheatrhythm‘schibi style artwork. Expect the game to hit Japan on September 16th on Android, with an iOS version to follow....
