I had been looking forward to checkingLollipop Chainsawout all week at gamescom and I wasn’t disappointed. While Suda51 wasn’t on hand to show us the game himself, he did send us a video assuring that the game’s female protagonist was at least over 18. The game is everything I hoped it would be: dramatically over the top, amazingly violent while sickeningly cute all at the same time. You’re probably rolling your eyes at the lack of surprise with Baby Rosalina (who’s joining Baby Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy), but Pink Gold Peach? Think Metal Mario, but a more precious, royal metal (gold) and then pink because femininity is pink even though I’m wearing a pink shirt right now and I amsupermanly....

Holy Guacamelee, Batman! Este juego es muy bueno. One of my favorite parts about Mexican cuisine is its cohesiveness. It’s a property found in all my favorite types of foods: Italian, Chinese, etc. You take a swath of semi-disparate elements, tie them together with a sauce, and boom; you have an enormous meal you’re able to gobble down in matrimonial mouthful. Just take guacamole, for example. Five or six ingredients plus spices come together to form a more perfect union, resulting in one cohesive dip so powerful Burt Ward’s Robin exalted it in the 1960’sBatmanTV series....

I would say that it’s like a sheep in wolf’s clothing, but I don’t know that the monster itself is any more intimidating than the nun would be. Skullgirlsis finally out, having released yesterday for PlayStation Network and today on Xbox Live Arcade. The launch trailer is focused on Double, the aforementioned monster who can mimic the moves of other fighters. Shang Tsu-…Doublelooks pretty cool, I guess. I’m particularly amused by theGradiusreference in the trailer, at the very least....

Also, WarioWare Smooth Moves Another big day for the 3DS, more old games you’ve probably played before on Wii U. So it’s…a weekday. On Wii U you’ll findNoitu Love: Devolution,as well asWarioWare: Smooth Moves, Aenigma OS, Brick Breaker, Gear Gauntlet, Grand Prix Rock ‘N Racing,andShooty Space. Not a big day unless you don’t already own the former on PC. 3DS admittedly has another old game but at least this time it’s a remake inDragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past....

Matt and Trey are still highly involved I was sad to hear at its E3 announcement last year thatObsidian, who developedthe originalSouth ParkRPG, was not returning forFractured But Whole(it’s actually Ubisoft San Francisco and South Park Digital Studios handling the sequel) — but it looks like the teams have built upon the already sturdy foundation well enough. This new behind-the-scenes featurette gives me a lot of hope, given how much Trey Parker and Matt Stone are seemingly involved and just about every facet of the project....

RPG and match three Dungeon Hearts, a game that combines JRPG elements with match-three puzzle gameplay, is set to hit both Steam and iOS devices later this month on March 28th. I’m curious as to how exactly the gameplay will shake out, since the description mentions balancing “between offensive strikes and defensive maneuvers.” I can barely tell what is going on in this trailer, but I suppose that’s what they could be doing....
