Competition is always good, right? Well, not for GameStop!

Mega web retailer Amazon.com has made their move into used games. Theirnew games trade-in systemis pretty slick, too. First, you select games on their site to trade in. They’ll have to be in “good condition,” with case and cover art and manual. Then the games are shipped free, with Amazon’s site giving you the shipping label and packing slip. Then, when they get the games, you’ll get an Amazon gift card deposited into your account.

I’m not much of a game trader-inner, but I do love Amazon and shop there frequently. The idea of offloading some games with ease and getting credit to shop for more than just other games is enticing.

The trade-in values seem to be pretty fair, don’t you think? $29 forLittleBigPlanet? Or $16 forMortal Kombat vs. DC Universe?
