The team is ‘just on a very long vacation’
As a studio, DICE “love[s] theBad Companyseries,” but a new installmentisn’t a point of focusright now. Creative director Lars Gustavsson toldPolygonthat “My feeling is that I would love to do it. For me, when we started the company with1942, it was really a work of passion. And then we worked our way through the era of different wars, and I loved them all, like my little babies. When it came toBad Company, it was creative freedom; don’t take yourself too seriously.”
Gustavsson notes DICE currently has its hands full with two other big-name projects:Mirror’s Edge 2andStar Wars: Battlefront. That work could put the project off a couple years at the earliest — if it does happen, that is — “but we’ll see,” he said.

“But trust me, theBad Company[team] isn’t forgotten, they are just on a very long vacation. So they are out there, they’re coming back.” I always appreciated the humor and toneover the straight-faced campaign of, say,Battlefield 3. More of that, please!
Battlefield: Bad Company franchise will make a comeback, says director[Polygon]
