For those of you who missed it, we held our very first (but not our last!)Xbox LIVE Community Playdatelast Friday, and it was a resounding success! The DestructoidBattlefield 3server was full to the absolute brim until well after I passed out from giddiness, with gamers from all over the world turning out to play with your Dtoid celebrities. In short, it kicked major ass!
I’d like to thank Xbox LIVE Community ManagerDMZillafor allowing us to host the Playdate, Dtoider ChillyBilly for renting and managing the server, staff and community members Abel Girmay, Brett Zeidler, BunnyRabbit2, Conor Elsea, Daniel James Howell, and SuperMonk4Ever for helping me represent Dtoid, and all of the rest of you who turned out to shoot us in the face. We made a lot of new friends thanks to this, and I can’t wait until the next one!
And speaking of “the next one”, we have several more get-togethers already in the works! Whether we’re challenging other gaming communities or the game developers themselves, you can expect to see Dtoid playdates a lot more frequently from now on, so stay tuned over the coming weeks for more details!
