Survival crafting games are typically enhanced when you have someone by your side to fight enemies or carry your stuff. WithGroundedspreading to other platforms like the fungus it showcases, players must wonder if the game has split-screen co-op or crossplay.
There’s good news and bad news.The good news is that, yes,Groundeddoes support crossplay for all platforms. But sadly, the bad news is that the game is remaining online and there doesn’t seem to be any indicator that will change soon.

Groundedis an online co-op game that allows you to play with up to three others on a four-player team.It supports crossplay for every platform, including PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch, with the latter twoadded to the list on April 16. PC players can experience the game on Steam or PC Game Pass.
But like with most crossplay games, friends across platforms have extra hoops to jump through. Steam players must download the Xbox app and create a profile to play with Xbox players, for example. To play a game with others, a host can start a new game from the menu or choose a single-player world to open up for friends. Once the game loads, the host can invite players into the world.
Groundeddoes not support split-screen co-op
Sadly, for those wanting to play Grounded in split-screen co-op, the game doesn’t include the feature. you’re able to only play the game co-op online for the time being. It doesn’t appear that developer Obsidian Games is planning on changing this in the near or distant future. Split-screen play requires a platform to render the game twice. And sinceGroundedis a fairly resource-heavy game, I’m not surprised that it doesn’t have split-screen on offer.
