Massive Chalice needs your money

Double Fine made history last year with theBroken AgeKickstarter, bringing in over $3.3 million after asking fans to help fund it. Today, the industry darling developer announced anew Kickstarter campaignwith hopes for a repeat performance.

Massive Chalicepromises tactical battles similar to those found inX-COMorFinal Fantasy Tactics, taking place over the course of many lifetimes. As a result, individual warriors will gain experience, age, and eventually die, but not before leaving behind offspring with similar traits.

As is often the case with Kickstarter games, no gameplay has been shown, but Double Fine’s pedigree will likely carry this campaign to success with ease. As of this writing, only minutes after the launch of the campaign,Massive Chalicehas already attained over $75,000 of its $725,000 goal.
