Hundreds of simple, safe fixes
Fallout 4is a Bethesda game which is to say it is a buggy game. Sometimes that means something funny, like an NPC’s head on backwards; sometimes that means 40 hours of save data gets erased. The plainly-named “Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch” is, “a comprehensive bugfixing mod forFallout 4.”
There’s an enormouschangelog here.
“The goal of the UnofficialFallout 4Patch (aka UFO4P) is to eventually fix every bug withFallout 4not officially resolved by the developers to the limits of the Creation Kit and community-developed tools, in one easy-to-install package,” its Nexus Mods page reads. It boasts “[h]undreds of gameplay, quest, NPC, object, item, text and placement bugs fixed,” efforts towards compatibility with other mods, and so on. Basically a one stop shop “easy” fix for people who don’t want to do much (yo!)
If you do plan ondownloading it, make sure you’re currently on the “[o]fficialFallout 4patch 1.5.146 or greater.”
