Far Cry 3is coming out on December 4 and I think that’s a horrible time to release a game, especially something as big as aFar Crytitle. The worst part is that it’s coming after Black Friday here in America, one of the most important shopping dates of the holiday season. Plus, there’s a strong chanceFar Cry 3will miss out on getting a number of nomination for game of the year type awards across the industry.
The only positive thing I can take away from Ubisoft wanting to release this on December 4 is that it will basically have no competition from any other AAA title since the most important ones have already released. Granted, there’s also the possibility that people will be so engrossed by the likes of said AAA titles likeAssassin’s Creed III, Halo 4, Black Ops II,the entire Wii U launch, and countless others that everyone will be blind to any new releases after November.
And this just upsets me becausewhat I played ofFar Cry 3was awesome. Check out the video for a giant montage of a ton of different things you may do in the game. Look at the tiger. LOOK AT THE TIGER!
