Even if you haven’t heard of Games Distillery’s upcoming twin-stick shooter for Xbox LIVE Arcade,Aqua — Naval Warfare, that’s okay. Today marks the uncaging of the game’s first real trailer, meaning you haven’t exactly missed a whole lot.
Expected to launch sometime this summer,Aquaisn’t like the twenty or so other dual-joystick shooters out there on XBLA in that it doesn’t take place in space. Sweet! It’s also got a narrative to occupy the gaps between blowing up enemy ships and blowing upeven moreenemy ships.
It’s hard to say if this is indicative of the game or not, but I found it kind of silly how a bunch of seemingly unrelated conversations were slapped onto the trailer. As long asAquaholds up on the mechanics front, which looks promising, we won’t need to worry too much.
