Was there any doubt? Not really, but it’s still lovely to think about. Sony has confirmed thatFinal Fantasy IX, recently dated for the Japanese PlayStation Network, will be coming to the West in the near future. Sony’s Ami Blaire has said that North American PS3/PSP users can get the game “soon” and we’re sure Europe will follow.
Final Fantasy IXwas an absolutely stellar entry in the series, notable for its upbeat protagonists, beautiful art style and comic leanings. It happens to be this writer’s favoriteFinal Fantasy, despite the mixed feelings it sometimes generated among fans.
