That’s the extent of it, so there’s no indication whether theoriginal winter windowis moving or not.Final Fantasy XVIis just around the corner anyways, so I personally wouldn’t be surprised if Square Enix doesn’t start talking aboutRebirthmore untilXVIis out.

You can (not) redo

Final Fantasy VII Rebirthis the follow-up toFinal Fantasy VII Remake, which both is and isn’t an actual remake ofFinal Fantasy VII. While it’s retelling a big part of the early story ofFFVII,Remakeeventually strikes out and forges its own path. Its storylooks set to divergewithRebirth.

We did just get aCrisis Coreremaster to help newcomers catch up with the story of Zack Fair. AndEver Crisis, a mobile game, is set to somehow encapsulate theVIItimeline. It’ll be interesting to see how this new expansion of theFinal Fantasy VIImulti-verse comes together over the next few years.

Sounds likeFinal Fantasy VII Rebirthis at least progressing along well, though. Meanwhile, if you can’t wait for that, a newFinal Fantasydebuts in June.
