This year marks the 20th anniversary ofHalo, with Nov. 15 as the dateHalo: CombatEvolvedlaunched. To celebrate, Microsoft and 343 Industries are rolling out a bucket-load of cosmetics forHalo: The Master Chief Collection, stretching back across the franchise—andMicrosoft‘s—history.
From November through January,Halo20th Anniversary themed content will roll into theMaster Chief Collection. These will be purchasable through Season Points, and will be added to the collection starting today with the Orion Armor set forHalo 2: Anniversary.

So yes, these range from aClippy Nameplatefeaturing the plucky desktop mascot to an actual Xbox “Duke” controller, slapped onto the shoulder plates of your multiplayer Spartan. Truly embrace the Microsoft nostalgia.
All in all, it’s a pretty neat way to celebrate the 20th anniversary ofHalo. As we look towardsHalopast, however, we must also look towardsHalofuture; that is, of course,Halo Infinite. The next entry in the series isset to launch on Dec. 8, though without some features likeForge and campaign co-op. Those will be arriving later on.
