Starlight Celebration is drawing to a close inFinal Fantasy XIVand it will soon be time to move onto the next time limited event —Heavensturn.
What is Heavensturn?
Inspired by traditional eastern celebrations ofNew Years, Heavensturn is centered around theChinese Zodiac.As such, the event takes inspiration from the animal of the year:Dragons. We’ll see how this year’s antics unfold via the aptly titled event“Tip the Scales in Your Favor”.
How to start the Heavensturn event in Final Fantasy XIV
BetweenDecember 31 2023 and Jul 31, 2025, players can approachRyu Metsuke (X11.5 Y13.9) on the Upper Decks of Limsa Lominsain order to pick up the level 15 quest“To Be a Mascot”. He “seeks the aid of a kindly adventurer”, but there is no further information about what we’re likely to be doing.
Rewards for completing Heavensturn 2023
As always, you’ll earn a unique reward for completing the quests of Heavensturn. This year, we’re going to receive a particularly adorable minion calledRyunosuke:
This little Chocobo Chick is getting into the spirit of the Year of the Dragon by donning a costume. Clearly this reflects his inner fierce beast.
No new clothing or housing items are beingrewarded for the quest this year. However, items from previous years will be for sale on theFFXIV Online Store.
