Fallout Killer?
I spent a good chunk of time this weekend thinking about Obsidian’s new RPGThe Outer Worlds.It debuted Thursday nightat The Game Awards with the trailer that’s embedded above. It raised a lot of eyebrows and commanded a lot of attention.
Shortly after, PR sent over a bunch of screenshots so I figured I’d share those too. Maybe the video moved too fast for you to study every little thing. Maybe you just want an excuse to look atThe Outer Worldsagain. MaybeIjust want an excuse to talk aboutThe Outer Worldsagain. Whatever the reason, they’re all gathered together in a gallery below for you to peruse at your leisure.
The obvious observation is that this looks likeFalloutin space ifFallouthadn’t fallen on such, uhh,hard times as of late. But there are aesthetic inklings ofBorderlandsand newRagetoo. Whatever the exact DNA is,The Outer Worldslooks fantastic thus far. It releases sometime in 2019, probably later than sooner. We’ll see if the original creators ofFalloutare the ones capable of creating TheFalloutKiller.
