Hoping to take your PlayStation VR games for a spin on PS5? You’re going to want an adaptor while they’re being given out. Today, Sony opened the website for PlayStation VR owners torequest them.
Long story short, the PlayStation 5 is gettinga new HD Camerathat isn’t compatible with the current PlayStation VR setup, so if you have the headset and want to use it on PS5, you’ll need a special adaptor for your existing (made-for-PS4) PlayStation Camera. Got it? Not really?There’s an FAQ.
The important thing to note is that “anyone who owns a PS VR headset” can request the PlayStation Camera adaptor (with a limit of one per household). All you need is the serial number found on the PlayStation VR processor unit–the box that your HDMI cables go through. That said, at the time of writing, it’s been a struggle to get the form to cooperate. The CAPTCHA is buggy at the moment.
If you keep getting an error with a correctly typed serial number, just keep re-entering it. I had that problem and after several attempts, it eventually worked and I was able to enter my address info.
