The Slumber Dojo inZelda: Echoes of Wisdomis a remarkably useful and very fun piece of side content that can provide some worthwhile rewards. There are several stages to complete, each of which requires you to meet certain objectives.
The Slumber Dojo can be found in Kakariko Village, which is northwest of Hyrule Castle Town. In total, there are 14 challenges waiting to be completed, all of which give some very useful rewards.
The first of these challenges is the Blank-Slate Battle. While most of the challenges allow you to keep your ability to summon Echoes, Blank-Slate challenges only allow you to use what’s within the challenge to complete them.
How to complete the Blank-Slate Battle challenge at the Slumber Dojo
Without your ability to summon Echoes, it can be hard to figure out how you’re going to complete this challenge. The good news is that you can still use your Bind ability, so everything within the challenge is fair game.
To complete this challenge, you’ll need to take out the following monsters within the 60 second time limit:
There are two ways that I’ve found to complete this, but the one detailed below will almost guarantee that you get the fast clear bonus reward.
The first thing you need to do is pick up the rock directly in front of you, run to the right and throw it at the Octorock to instantly kill it, then learn the Octorok Echo.
Move back to the left half of the room, and summon as many Octorok Echoes as you can to take on the Spear Moblin while you focus on the Deku Baba.
Use your Bind ability to latch onto the Deku Baba, then move backwards. You’ll quickly pull the Deku Baba down from the platform, killing it instantly.
Once the Octoroks have wiped out the Spear Moblin, the Keese will begin to divebomb them. While the Keese may kill the Octorok it attacks, the others you’ve summoned will be able to shoot rocks at the Keese, and take it out too.
This will complete the challenge, and as long as you’ve been fast on your feet, you’ll be able to easily complete the Blank-Slate Battle challenge in under 40 seconds.
