Any time you try to approach a tumbleweed in theGerudo Desert, you’ll likely destroy it with a single touch. Fortunately, there is a way to keep it intact, satisfying the Elusive Tumbleweed quest. To do this,use Bind on the tumbleweedby pressing the ‘X’ button, similar toTears of the Kingdom’sUltrahand. Select the target with the ‘ZR’ trigger to make the process more accessible.
Since you’ll need to drag over the tumbleweed to the Gerudo woman, it’s best to stick around the quest area. The easiest place to do this will be at the Gerudo Town entrance since there will be plenty of tumbleweeds to work with. Once you’ve located one,position yourself directly behind the tumbleweedto keep it close to you (it’s pretty challenging to manage when it’s far away).
If you accidentally destroy a tumbleweed, don’t worry. There are usually more nearby. you’re able to also circle around the Gerudo Town entrance to trigger their spawn. Just be cautious of enemies, as they can easily destroy the tumbleweed. I learned this the hard way when a Sand Piranha completely demolished it.
