With the introduction of the Day and Night Cycle inGray Zone Warfare, the significance of seemingly simple tools like flashlights is amplified. This equipment will not only illuminate the darkness but also reveal hidden targets that might have escaped your notice.

To help you with this new tactic, here’s how to get and use flashlights inGZW.

Gray Zone Warfare Night Ops

How to get the flashlight in Gray Zone Warfare

Embarking on theGray Zone Warfare Night Opsupdate, you’ll findtwo flashlights in your locker with the Standard Edition. Any edition you purchase provides the Surefire P1R Peacekeeper Flashlights, including extra equipment for better survivability. For a mere $96 (in-game), you may also equip yourself with the versatileNStar Lightfrom the Gunny Vendor.

You can acquire other types of Tactical Devices, including an infrared flashlight. These lights remain invisible to the enemy, as infrared cannot be seen by the human eye. However, this item may only be available toward the game’s later stages as you level up the ranks. They can either appear in an updated shop, exploration, or mission rewards. The same goes for regular flashlights, which aren’t purchasable in the shop initially. So, if you’ve lost out on the two that you have, opt for the NStar Light until you discover more flashlights.

How to use flashlights in Gray Zone Warfare

Hit the’ T’ key to use a flashlight inGray Zone Warfare. This key is specifically designed for your Tactical Devices, making it perfect for nighttime operations. Holding the ‘T’ button allows you to navigate the Tactical Menu and view your available equipment. However, it’s crucial toensure that your build is equipped with the right attachments,as an improper setup could render the interaction ineffective.

Since there are many ways to customize your build, I’ll focus onthe M4A1 in your locker. you’re able to utilize a flashlight by equipping theNStar Light on its Rails or combining the V-Block and P1R as a mount. You should have the V-Block and P1R in your inventory, so check there first before making any purchases. Keep in mind that any previous equipment you had from launch will be gone due to thefirstwipeof the update.

M4A1 build

If you lose the M4A1 on a run, you’ll probably be inclined to purchase another one from a Vendor. However, the ones in the shop sometimes don’t offer the attachments needed for the flashlight. I noticed that these builds don’t include theDD RIS II 9.5 Handguard, which allows you to place a Tactical Device like this. Therefore, those who don’t have it in their schematic may need to find a way to acquire this item.

Pistols are, fortunately, much more accessible with attaching flashlights.Any Glock 17 buildshould let you attach theNStar Light, including the ones from your Locker. I tested it out with the ones from the Gunny Vendor, too, and it worked just fine.

Glock 17 build

The more you progress further inGray Zone Warfare’sstoryline, the more your builds will change. Your Reputation changes what Vendors offer, giving access to higher-grade equipment. Experiment with the tools you have to see what other flashlight builds you’re able to make, or use the starters I mentioned above to get you by. You can even combine your flashlights with yourNight Vision Gogglesfor maximum visibility. In some cases, strong light sources can shut NVGs down, disrupting nearby enemy equipment.

When using the flashlight, there doesn’t seem to be any need for batteries. I’ve utilized mine for prolonged periods of time, and it never ran out. Nevertheless, the light does attract attention, creating an easy target for your foes. Use your Tactical Device wisely, and do your best to sneak around in the dark.
