There are a lot of crafting ingredients inFinal Fantasy XIV, and more were added withDawntrail, so it can be hard to figure out exactly where to get what you need. If you’re working throughWachumeqimeqi Deliveries, this becomes even more bothersome.

Once you know where to look, all of the ingredients for these recipes are actually pretty easy to get, and if you’re working your way through Xeerol Ja’s Juicecraft quests, then you’ll need to know how to getFFXIV’sBranchbearer Fruit.

Contrary to the name, what you’re looking for isn’t actually a fruit, and you won’t be able to find it as a Botanist — trust me, I tried. Instead, you’ll need to head to the dark southern half of Yak T’el to find Dawntrail’s glowing enemies, Branchbearers.

They’re found in a relatively large area around (X:14.2, Y:28.3), and they’re hard to miss when you combine their size and the fact that they quite literally light the area around them from within themselves. They’re actually rather pretty to look at, at least until they try to kill you.

Where to find Branchbearers in Final Fantasy XIV

The Branchbearer in the area are all level 94, so they’re not the most difficult of enemies to take down. While the drop rate of Branchbearer Fruit isn’t particularly high, there are a large number of them in the area and with upto three Fruit dropping from each you can get a good stockpile this way.

However, don’t mistake the local A Rank Hunt Mark Starcrier for a Branchbearer. While it looks similar to one, it glows a purple-pink color, is much larger, and is a level 100 monster. It also doesn’t drop Branchbearer Fruit, sadly.
