If you’ve been plucking away at the new content or you’re just joining us, you’re going to want to get your hands on some Restored Coffer Keys ASAP once you hit level 80 for much-needed equipment found in Bountiful Delves. Here’s how.
Earning Restored Coffer Keys
There are sure-fire ways to earnfourRestored Coffer Keys per week by obtaining Weekly Caches from various activities in the War Within. Once you’ve opened four caches from these sources, you’ll just start receiving gold and upgrade crests.
The first method is by completing Special Assignments – larger “World Quests” that are unlocked after completing three World Quests in a given zone. You’ll see if there’s a Special Assignment available by checking your map, where it’ll display as a padlock icon (currently in either Isle of Dorn or Ringing Deeps). These reset weekly, but I found two in the first reset cycle, so be sure to check each zone!
A Restored Coffer Key is found in the weekly cache associated with the weekly quest from Faerin in Dorogal, where you can choose one of four activities to complete, which vary from week to week.
You can earn a cache from completing the Theatre Troupe activity and associated quest just outside Dornogal:
You’ll be rewarded a weekly cache after choosing a pact with the Weavers and completing the associated “activities” quest (five World Quests will do the trick) in Azj Kahet.
Likewise, you’ll get a cache from the weekly quest given by Gnawbles in Gundargaz, the Ringing Deeps. Just complete the event, claim your rewards, and get the chest from the quest completion to be given another key.
The final method is to use Coffer Key Shards (100) to create a key. You can find these as occasional rewards from World Quests and are also rewarded from Worldsoul Memory events that you can activate by popping a Radiant Echo (dropped from Delves and the aforementioned Special Assignment cache) at a Worldsoul Memory site.
So, in total, your options, for up to four Restored Coffer Keys a week, are:
Using these methods, you may expect to get four guaranteed Restored Coffer Keys a week. You can use these in Bountiful Delves (highlighted on the map) for extra loot, including a guaranteed high item level piece of gear. Be sure to save these for the absolute tippy-top Delve level you’re able to complete for the best loot possible!
