If you’re playingZenless Zone Zeroon PS5, you’ll know the game is pretty flawless. From the moment you launch it until the point when you put it down, the game runs incredibly smoothly. But one issue, an on-screen mouse, can ruin it all.

For some unknown reason,Zenless Zone Zerohas a cursor, a mouse that you can move around on-screen during cutscenes. It’s likely just an oversight on the development side because the game is also available for mobile devices and PCs. While a cursor can be useful, it’sfar from essential in this game on PS5. In fact, it just gets in the way, which is why I believe it’s so important to know how to get rid of it so you don’t have it hanging around in every visual you see.

How to move the on-screen mouse inZenless Zone Zeroon PS5

To move the on-screen mouse inZenless Zone Zeroon PS5, you must use the DualSense controller’s touchpad. This, as you’ll soon see, moves the cursor around as if you were using a mouse and keyboard on a PC. It won’t explain why developer miHoYo decided to leave it in this version of the game, but it will get rid of the thing so you can enjoy visuals in cutscenes that aren’t marred by a random cursor.

The interesting thing about this cursor is that it will disappear if you don’t use the touchpad for an elongated period of time. I managed to get it to go away by leaving the touchpad alone for an entire chat cutscene, and it only reappeared when I accidentally brushed the touchpad with my finger.

Thankfully, if you move the cursor all the way over to the edge of the screen, it’ll be gone again. It can hide in what we used to call the edges under your monitor when I was younger. This is likely a deliberate feature to give those who don’t want to see the cursor, like content creators, a way to get rid of it to improve the visual experience when it’s unnecessary.

Of course, it’s always possible miHoYo has plans to implement a feature that uses the cursor inZenless Zone Zeroon PS5. The game is made up of short, interesting encounters that keep you engaged, so there’s every chance something like thepull system for bannerscould be tweaked to make use of the mouse, or at least allow for it to be used, in the future.
