How do you unlock characters in The First Descendant?
At the start, you’ll be introduced tothree characters: Viessa, Lepic, and Ajax. While it may seem like a crucial decision, the game offers you the freedom to acquire them and the rest of the team later on. You can eitherpurchase Descendants outright or craft them with materials.
When it comes to purchasing characters, head to the menu and select Shop. Navigate to the Descendant tab to buy single characters or bundles. Characters like Freyna, Bunny, and Ajax are among the more affordable options, priced at 300 Caliber. However, for characters like Yujin, Esiemo, and Kyle, you’ll need to invest a more significant amount.
To get Descendants for free inThe First Descendant,speak to the Magister Anais at the Research Instituteon the left side of the main hub. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to reach this point, after the tutorial phase.
Select the ‘Research Request’ tab and go over to the Descendant section. Here, you’ll see the crafting recipes for each Descendant with the following materials and the amount of Research Time:
