While Lyle and myself continue to question the mistake into a non-miracle that is theSonic the Hedgehoglive-action movie, here’s what’s been happening in video games:
Does a good live-action movie adaptation of a video game even exist? Sure, we’ve had plenty of CGI movies that are pretty decent, but I honestly can’t even think of a remotely “good” video game-based movie that was live-action.
Sure, some could say theResident Evilmovies for just how absurd they are or even that firstSilent Hillmovie (I thought it was half decent). But, outside of that and maybe theTomb Raidermovies(I haven’t seen any of them, so I can’t say for sure) — I can’t think of much else.
Discharged question of the week:what’s your personal pick for best live-action video game movie? I’m honestly excited for theMonster Huntermovie for all the wrong reasons.
