The date is moving to alleviate some pressure on the team

The next entry in theLife is Strangeseries is set to arrive next month, and today the development team reaffirmed that’s the case. The accompanying remasters, though, will be taking a little extra time.

Today, theLife is Strangeteamconfirmedthat it’s delaying Lifeis Strange: Remastered Collectioninto early 2022. This shift is due to the ongoing challenges of the worldwide pandemic. They’re hoping this will alleviate some pressure on development by providing more time between the launch ofLife is Strange: True ColorsandLife is Strange: Remastered Collection.

Life is Strange: True Colors, meanwhile, is still on track for a Sept. 10 launch. The team also confirmed that theLife is Strange: WavelengthsDLC, starringBefore the Storm‘s Steph Gingrich, will launch on Sept. 30, 2021.

Theyalso confirmthat anyone who buys theLife is Strange: True ColorsUltimate Edition will still get dual entitlement to the twoLife is Strange: Remastered Collectiongames when they launch in 2022.

As much as I’d love to revisit the originalLife is Strangeand get around to playingBefore the Storm, this sounds like it’s the right move for the team. Launching one game is already one task, but adding on a remastered collectionandDLC later in the month is a tall order.

I’m eager to seewhat Deck Nine does with its own new installmentin theLife is Strangeseries, and so I’m happy they’re taking a little extra time to make sure it all comes together well. Besides, the summer and fall are starting to fill up with games fast. Locking in a neat remaster for sometime in 2022 sounds good to me.
