Introducing the “Instant Game Collection” bundle

Sony has announced a new Vita package on its way to stores next week. Priced at $299, the “Instant Game Collection” bundle comes with a 3G PlayStation Vita, a 4 GB flash card, a copy ofUnit 13and a code redeemable for a full year of PlayStation Plus service.

The additional items are a savings of about a hundred smackers, so it’s not a bad deal at all from the outset. And the value of a PlayStation Plus subscription seems to be rather good these days with the constantly rotating free titles and other promotions they’ve been offering. I’m still not ready to take the leap on the handheld, myself, as I plan to wait and see how Sony supports it in the next six months before making a decision, but this seems like a reasonable entry point for folks leaning toward buying in.
