Super Fighter Teamis an amazing little company. Its claim to fame is making software for long-dead platforms like DOS, Sega Genesis, and the friggin’ Atari Lynx. The group’s upcoming project isNightmare Buster, the first Super Nintendo in well over a decade.

Nightmare Busteris a side-scrolling shooter starring a pair of magic-wielding leprechauns. The game footage above comes from an early build some time during or before 2008, so who knows how many changes the game has gone through since then. As with the team’s previous releases, the game will receive the full cartridge treatment (PAL and NTSC compatible) with a box, manual, and everything.

Nightmare Bustersis slated to drop in 2013, but you can pre-order a copy right now. Such a gem won’t come cheap, however — $68 for orders within the US, $75 outside the country. That sounds a bit steep, but that’s how much we paid for videogames back in the day. Plus, it’s a F*CKIN’ SNES GAME IN THE 21ST CENTURY, DAMMIT!
