Following uncomfortable close to theXbox and PlayStationYear in Review roundups, Nintendo hasprovided its own.

Like most other year-in-review wrap-ups, Nintendo shows you the number of hours played on your Switch (Switches, if you’re fancy), what games you prefer, and further breakdowns beyond that. Unlike the PlayStation round-up, it doesn’t try to tell you your horoscope; instead, it just gives you the facts. I’m going to take a guess here, butit’s statistically likelythat your top-played game this year wasThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Mine is, and I didn’t even finish it.

Nintendo Switch Year In review 2023

Here are some more Year in Review facts about me, which you can totally skip if you don’t care. I put in 295 hours across 58 games. I mostly play on PC and retro consoles these days. Aside fromThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, my top played games arePikmin 4(which I still haven’t finished post-game on) andFatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse. Hey! I really like those games.

There are some good memories here. I can’t believe I only played 6 hours ofMetal Slug. That’s more than the 2 hours I put intoSuper Mario Wonder. I can totally believe I put 14 hours intoParanormasight. Did you know I played through the entirety ofMetroid Prime Remasteredin 14 hours before I reviewed it? What I really learned here is that I spentquite a fewmonths of this year feeling depressed and burnt out between deep dives of review games. What a year!
