June 16th. That’s right during E3. That’s also when the Official Nintendo Magazine is set to reveal a “world exclusive” in its 57th issue.
I see what’s happening here. We’re effectively free advertising for the mag by running this. Ah, who cares. According toCVGthe mag says:
…you may want to mark Wednesday 16 June in your diary. We’ll be revealing world exclusive details on a top secret new game in the next issue of ONM. We had to verify we cover this new game which is why ONM 56 and 57 are both being released on a Wednesday rather than a Friday as usual
Given the timing, I’d bet it’s the print exclusive. I’m also betting that Nintendo’s E3 press conference is going to steal much of ONM’s thunder. If you’re curious, I’d say your best bet is to stay here at Destructoid and hop on our liveblog of the press conference. Our Twitter feed is also a good pick. Sorry ONM. Didn’t mean to spin this in our favor. This all is really just an invitation for us to speculate what Nintendo could be announcing at E3.
