Tomorrow sees the launch ofNioh Collectionon PS5, bringing together two excellent adventure titles, freshly remastered for Sony’s next-gen hardware. Publisher Koei Tecmo, alongside developer Team Ninja, has released a dramatic launch trailer to get fans ready for the revisit.

TheNioh Collectionincludes 2017’sNiohand its 2020 sequelNioh 2, complete with all six previously released DLC expansions. Both titles have been blessed with a visual upgrade, significantly improved load times, and run at a maximum 120 frames-per-second – provided your display will allow this, of course.

The remasters also take advantage of the DualSense Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Trigger technology. Players who own the PS4 edition ofNioh 2will receive a free upgrade to the PS5 edition. Cross-save support will allow you to pick up right from where you left off. Additionally, for PC players,Nioh 2: The Complete Editionwill hit Steam tomorrow.

Set in Sengoku-era Japan, theNiohseries mixes sword and sorcery to present engaging, classy, and damn difficult RPG action. BothNiohand its sequel received huge acclaim from critics and players alike, with praise directed towards its deep combat, interesting world, and challenging nature. If you never got around to checking out these samurai epics, then this collection might present the perfect opportunity.
