Rumour refuses to crash ‘n’ burn Last week, screen-grabs from a document, purportedly leaked from Sumo Digital, turned up onResetera. The document showed the British developers were working on a “kart racer” featuring a “Global IP”. This led many to surmise that Sumo were in the process of making anotherSonic & Sega All-Star Racingtitle. Sega’s community manager Aaron Webber was quick to squash the rumour,taking to twitterto denounce that a newSART(Sonic/Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed) game was en route....

Coming stomping to current and next-gen platforms WayForward Games has announced that it will be the publisher forDawn of the Monsters,a brand new kaiju-fightin’ title from indie developer 13AM Games. The city-smasher is currently in development for a multitude of platforms, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC. “From the moment we laid eyes onDawn of the Monsters, we knew it had the potential to be something special,” said WayForward CEO Voldi Way in a press statement....

It’s back up on PC and last-gen consoles DuckTales: Remasteredwas delisted from digital stores in 2019, but the game is back today. Capcom shared the news this morning and reminded us that the prettied-up platformer is available for purchase on PC via Steam, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 (and by extension Xbox One thanks to backward compatibility), and Wii U. Naturally, fans have called for a Nintendo Switch port. I don’t blame ’em!...

Is that low enough? That recent Oculus Riftprice reduction and salemust’ve moved a lot of on-the-fence VR adopters into action. Today, HTC is following suit with a significant permanent price drop of its own for the Vive. Previously priced at $799, the virtual reality headset will now cost $599 going forward. It’s still an expensive purchase, to be sure, but when you’re building or even upgrading your PC to handle VR, every dollar counts....

Welp [Update: Switch is happening as per Ronimo’s Twitter, and more info is coming “in the near future”.] On June 20 developer Romino Games put up a Kickstarter campaign to add more content toSwords and Soldiers II: Shwarmaggedon, itself an enhanced port of the Wii U original from 2015. That crowdfunding effort was just canceled this week, but the planned PC and PS4 ports remain in development, set to debut later this year....
