This is still on my most-anticipated list In case you missed it, developer Iggymob gave us a detailed look at the newGungravegame (that’s still scheduled to be released on PS4 by the end of this year in Japan). Yes, I said “newGungravegame.” Despite the misstep with the VR game,Gungrave G.O.R.Eis decidedly not a VR title, nor is it a retread. Instead, it’s the first mainline release in the series in many years; following the 2002 release of the PS2 original, the 2003 anime, and the 2004Overdosesequel....

‘The announcement that the Wii console has been discontinued is specific to Japan’ When it was announced earlier this week that Nintendowould cease production of the Wii console in Japan, a lot of people assumed that would be the case worldwide, but Nintendo has other plans. Apparently, a Nintendo rephas informed GameSpotthat “The announcement that the Wii console has been discontinued is specific to Japan.” The rep goes on to state, “There is no change in the status of Wii in the United States, and it is available for purchase this holiday season....

‘A different type of system’ Level-5 CEO AkihiroHino has announced that there’s going to be yet anotherYo-Kai Watchgame, and based on the current slow timetable, it might be Japan-only for quite some time (or forever). The title isYo-Kai Academy Y, and is based onthe newAcademyspinoff seriesthat focuses on more out-there comedy in contrast to their tepidly receivedShadowsidefocus. Hino’s tweet says that he has his work cut out for him given that he’s juggling moreYo-Kaifilms and games, but this one will feature “a different type of system” compared to the mainline games....

On November 21, the Xbox LIVE Arcade version ofSuper Meat Boywill jump up five dollars in price to $15. I assume many of you are aware that this is because the game actually released on sale, but just in case, now you know. Apparently the game is selling quite well, which is good to hear. Big updates are on the way for MMOWayfinder. Developer Airship Syndicate revealed the updates during theirWayfinder Wednesday blog post. In the near future, a mid-season update is on the horizon bringing a new live event called Call of the Void as well as some new content. Later, Season 2 will kick off and see the release of a newWayfindercharacter named Grendel. An in-depth look at the new content from the mid-season update will be coming in early October....

MM(n)O Publisher Atlus has taken the somewhat brutish step of filing suit against a party of Shin Megami Tensei fans who allegedly created an unofficial server for the now-defunctSMTMMO,Imagine. In related news, a fan server, titled “ReImagine” has been operating since 2020, but has now, understandably, been taken offline. The suit wasinitially spotted by Twitter user“Marsh”. According to the lawsuit, (viewable here at CourtListener) Atlus is seeking around $25,000 per copyright violation, citing the “irreparable damage” that theShin Megami Tensei: Imaginerecreation has caused to the publisher....

Semi-automatic weapons often get overlooked by their fully automatic counterparts, yet the M16A4 deserves plenty of attention. The M16A4 requires an abundance of skill and patience to perfect. Instead of firing and forgetting like other assault rifles, the M16A4’s three-round-burst firing type eliminates any margin for error and forces players to be accurate with their shots. When perfected, it will become second nature to take down enemies in two bursts, but in the beginning, there will be plenty of instances where you get punished for missing a shot by fully automatic weapons....
