Well, this recent Wii U indies trailer features 18 titles, and that’s purely from European and Australian developers. Guess they weren’t kidding....
From flight to feet A new trailer forVelocity 2Xhas been posted to PlayStation Blog, giving a little tease of the game’s progress and showing off some slick, fast-paced gameplay. The accompanying post gives some insight into what Futurlab is working on, mostly related to visual effects, with the art team drawing inspiration from the aesthetic of the classicFlashbackadventure game. That’s not the only similarity toFlashbackeither, as you can see some of the game’s running segments, new toVeolocity 2X, in which the player exits their ship and blasts through corridors in 2D platforming segments....
While we don’t advocate it, we sure won’t complain when a sneaky someone leaks some footage of a highly-anticipated game. This time it’s Naughty Dog’sUncharted 2: Among Thieves, which promises to be one of Sony’s flagship PlayStation 3 games for 2009. The footage after the jump is low-resolution and the camera is shaky, but there’s enough here to get fans of the original all hot and bothered. Surprisingly, even given the visual limitations of this amateur off-screen video job, the game looks damned good....
Surprise, surprise I remember browsing the Origin store a few days ago to see if EA was going to at leasttryand compete with Steam’s Holiday Sale when I came across theBattlefield 4: China Risingexpansion in the ‘New Releases’ section. I thought to myself, “Hah, I bet the Chinese government won’t be too happy about that.” Turns out that I was right, because they’ve just bannedBattlefield 4. According to the Wall Street Journal, the Chinese government cited “national security” and aggression towards Chinese culture as its reason for issuing the ban on DICE’s shooter;Battlefield 4wasn’t available in China to begin with, so I doubt this’ll have much of an affect on EA....
Top 10 Despite what people may say, I thought 2014 was an excellent year. Heck, nearly every year is great for gaming. I played over 300 titles across all platforms, a little more than last year — but mostly that’s because of my promotion to Reviews Director at Destructoid. Swery’s signature charm was all there, and I especially liked that the Kinect-only mechanic was dropped in favor of an optional controller. A lot of people out there have expressed interest in the game, only to find out that it’s an Xbox One exclusive. Over Twitter, creator Swery re-iterated that the game will“never”be on PlayStation 4. He was pretty quiet about a potential PC release though, and given Microsoft’s history, anything is possible....

As such, it’s a good idea to stock up on the resources required and craft a bunch to use in emergencies, or if you’re simply too far from the nearest Fast Travel point....
