‘There is no option to switch to third-person view’ Although theStar Wars: Squadronsappearance at EA Play was one of the high notes, we still didn’t get a ton of concrete info out of it beyond a marketing-heavy sizzle reel and a very fluffy “interview” that basically just gushed over how amazingStar Warsas a whole was. Thankfully the team is now allowed to open up a bit, and in addition tothe confirmation that HOTAS rigs would work with the game, we now know a few more tidbits: like the fact thatSquadronsis locked to a first-person view....

The Daily Hotness: Bethesda’s makin’ an MMO

So the big news of today is that Bethesda, the prolific developers or the Elder Scrolls series and the revival of the Fallout games is making an MMO. A move that will probably surprise no one. I cannot emphasize enough how excited I was for this. Bethesda is probably my favorite developer after Valve, and I tend to be of the opinion that they can do no wrong. Plus, I’m hoping this will get us closer to aFallout-MMO, now that Interplay no longer has the rights to it....

This is what stealth can look like in Ghost Recon Wildlands

With the right conditions This is another peek at the “proper” way to playGhost Recon Wildlands, Ubisoft’s free-roaming cooperative shooter set in Bolivia. A squad of developers works as a cohesive unit, sneaking around a cartel encampment in the cover of a stormy night, and not one person spontaneously rushes in guns blazing. In a real-world scenario, there likely wouldn’t be such precision. Someone would totally screw up (or just plain screw around)....
