Don’t get your hopes up In a strange turn of events, two platform-holders have competing arrangements with a property that neither probably cares about anymore. Afteracquiring Insomniac Gameslast month, Sony finally confirmed that it now has the rights to all of Insomniac’s wholly-owned properties. This includes 2014’sSunset Overdrivewhich was an Xbox One exclusive until it was ported to PC last year. It seems as though Microsoft still has publishing rights while Sony owns the actual IP....

The dark side of digital When WiiWare (and subsequently, portions of DSiWare) were shut down, a good chunk of gaming history was lost. It was such a shame, losing a ton of greats likeContra ReBirth, in an instant. This is why game preservation is so important. Alas, one such lost game,Space Invaders Get Even, was touched uponin a recent Wccftech interviewwith Yuichi Toyama, director at Taito. Not just an obscure release, Space Invaders Get Even came out in 2008 and is one of the aforementioned “lost” WiiWare titles....

There are two projects Yesterday, there was a report that sort ofconfusedHitmanfans everywhere. People thought projects were canceled, and the franchise was in jeopardy, but here’s the real rubstraight from Square Enix. Apparently, the initial concept for the AAA/non-mobile version ofHitmanwas supposed to go between Square Enix Montreal and IO Interactive — thinkCall of Dutyand Infinity Ward with Treyarch. That’s not happening anymore, as Montreal will be focusing on the mobile side, and IO will work on the nextHitmanproject....

Less than 30 minutes Harley Quinn is at it again this time with a pre-order exclusive DLC (yuck) forBatman: Arkham Knight. I have good news for everyone who didn’t bother pre-ordering — you aren’t missing much. The entire add-on basically amounts to less than 30 minutes of the same core gameplay asKnight, minus the Batmobile-fest. Much like Azrael and Batman’s other playable companions, Harley’s fighting style is nearly identical to the Dark Knight, and other than a few new animations, feels exactly the same — though, she does have a “party popper” batarang substitute that functions like a Spider-Man web trap....

Version 1.3.0 Fire Emblem Engageis up to its third patch, though surprisingly (perhaps a relief to some) none of them have been extremely meaty thus far: this newest version included.
