Which is why it’s a relief to hear fromGameSpotthat MachineGames will not be offering multiplayer inWolfenstein: The New Order. I’m unsure who made the decision — either publisher Bethesda, MachineGames, or both parties — but job well done....

Duke of Switch Edition Bulletstorm‘s over-the-top, combo-chaining, explosive, obscene action is coming to a new platform in a few months. One of the first proper announcements at Gearbox’s PAX East panel is thatBulletstormis being ported to Switch. This version is dubbed theBulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition. It’s presumably theFull Clipremaster that released in 2017, which was complete with a cameo from Duke Nukem. We’ll find out more in the very near future....

There’s no need for obsolete content The best part of the coreDestinyexperience at launch was the Vault of Glass raid. It completely blew away everything else the game had to offer, and was on an entirely different level mechanically. Every encounter was unique, it required teamwork, and best of all — bosses weren’t simple rehashes of existing enemies and required a great deal of strategy. A new CEO and President has been appointed over Capcom USA and Europe. His name is Kazuhiko Abe, and he’ll be the guy in charge of international matters for the Japanese company as the new boss of everything outside of Capcom HQ in Japan. He started in 2003 as a General Manager of Planning and later moved up to CFO in Japan, coming from bank and telecommunications backgrounds before this. He landed this promotion after only seven years at Capcom....

Dragons confirmed We’ve finally got an extended look atDragon’s Dogma 2during thePlaystation Showcase 2023. It’s the first real glimpse we’ve seen of the game. You’ll have to dream of Electric Sheep a little longer CD Projekt REDhas just announcedthat it will be delaying the release of the highly-anticipated RPGCyberpunk 2077by five months, shifting its launch date from April 16 to September 17. The news was announced on Twitter, where theWitcherdeveloper revealed it needed more time to fine-tune the ambitious RPG. “We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there’s still work to be done,” reads the official statement....

Go on… It’s easy to assume the worst when you hear about multiplayer being introduced to games that are primarily thought of as single-player experiences. Speaking toEurogamer, CD Projekt RED managing director Adam Badowski said that “[Cyberpunk 2077] will be a story-based RPG experience with amazing single-player playthroughs, but we’re going to add multiplayer features.” Badowski did not further elaborate. Perhaps I’m reading into the specific wording too much, but I’m hopeful that “multiplayer features” in a gamefull of promising ideascan pan out to be something more ambitious than the standard modes that have been done and redone for years....
