PAX East 2022: 10 of our favorites from this year’s show

Some of the coolest upcoming games we saw at the show PAX East 2022 was a strange one. It was my first time attending the show since the pandemic shuttered in-person conventions. And it was nice, getting to see old friends, new faces, and plenty of interesting indie games in Boston again. Throughout my four days, I wandered the show floor, checking out plenty of games along the way. And to be clear, I didn’t see everything....

PS4 adding HDCP off option, video editing, and game pre-loading soon

Update 1.70 Sony has spoken about PS4system update 1.70in greater detail, noting that it will release soon. Once it hits, you’ll be able to disable HDCP in order to capture video via HDMI, enable a new auto-download feature that’ll automatically pre-load select games you’ve pre-ordered in time for release day, and edit footage in a surprisingly powerful video editor called SHAREfactory. Granted, videos still can’t bedirectlyuploaded to YouTube, but it is possible to export the files to an external USB device and then do with them as you wish....
