TGS 09: Final Fantasy XIII Elixirs: too pretty to drink

Surely if you pay attention to anything having to do with Square Enix, you’ve seen the various differentFinal Fantasy-themed elixir products they’ve put out over the years. As I wandered around the side of their TGS booth this year, I found these in a discreet little glass case over to one side. Looks like collectors can soon add a new set to their collection! You can also see in the gallery that these come in the epic box shown alongside them....

TGS: Lost Planet spin-off E.X. Troopers is super dupers

I was already pretty close to all-in after learning of the concept behind Capcom’sLost Planetspin-offE.X. Troopers. The idea was to take the snowy and fairly serious world and soften it up a bit with cell shading and pink-haired teenagers. It’s still a third-person shooter that centers around exploration, but the action is more arcade-y and the Japanese factor has been turned up past maximum. And now that I’ve played it, I’m going to be waiting impatiently for a western release announcement....

The Amazing Spider-Man: Ultimate Edition is Wii U bound

All of the DLC included In case you didn’t experience it already,The Amazing Spider-Man, that decentSpider-Manmovie tie-in game, will be headed to the Wii U on March 8th. Just likeDarksiders II, this release includes previous DLC, in addition to added GamePad functionality, like the ability to use remote play, and a few menu features. I beat this last year and thought it was basically the very definition of “meh.” Although I don’t expect anything to equal the classicSpider-Man 2,The Amazing Spider-Manbasically just managed to be fun “enough” to romp through the ten hour campaign....

The excellently named Royale With Cheese bundle is live now

Don’t call it the Quarter Pounder bundle To be honest, I probably wouldn’t post about this Indie Royale deal if it weren’t for the name. Indie Royale recently held a contest with Joystiq to let one of its community members name the next bundle, and the winner came up with The Royale with Cheese bundle, a reference to a well-known bit of dialogue inPulp Fiction. Like a fast food burger though, it might not satisfy all tastes....

The Witcher 3 revealed complete with bearded Geralt

Game Informer cover spills the beans After the teaser message hidden in theCyberpunk 2077trailer was found, the inevitability of this new installment seemed all the more inevitable. So while this is the kind of news we might nod to approvingly, I’m more interested to see what it actually looks like. Especially after hearing about CD Projekt Red’sREDEngine 3created for “vast open-worlds with improved tools spanning truly nonlinear stories that are based on real player choices and consequences....
