Set for 2014 Marvel’s New York Comic-Con panel this weekend revealed that new game The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will launch Spring 2014, coming from developers Beenox. It’s set to come to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, 3DS and PC, hitting shelves when the film hits theaters. TheSteam Deckis expected to start rolling out in February, and Valve is thinking ahead. Given that players of current handheld systems have picked up some habits, Valve introduced Dynamic Cloud Sync today. Hopefully, it should make carrying save data across systems pretty seamless, if developers implement it. Steam already supports cloud saves, but this update seems targeted at the way Steam Deck users will probably handle their new platform. “We anticipate that users will frequently suspend their Steam Deck without exiting the game, as is common with other handheld gaming devices,” Valve says in a new blog post....

More fast-pacedHawkenfootage is here — and quick! — everyone shoot at that noisy thing flying up above. Except for you, guy who would rather kill me than work toward a common enemy. You’re cool. The sound design and HUD effects (so much distortion, so little time) are coming along nicely for this December-bound mech shooter. I have to wonder if some of the shaking will be optional; a sense of realism should be neat initially, but I could easily see it getting in the way of comfort before too long....
