YouTuber rickonami is back in the saddle with an HD-ified intro remake of arcade / SNES shmupU.N. Squadron. Compared to his ridiculously amazingStar Foxvideo, it’s not as polished, the unfortunate outcome of being on a rushed timetable. Nonetheless, his rushed work is leagues ahead of anything I could hope to create.
And listen to the sweet guitar arrangements featured in the video, care ofvertexguyandGrospixels. I’m not all that familiar with vertexguy’s work, but Grospixels has long been on my radar. I remember listening to them way back in college! I can’t believe they’re still around kicking up a musical storm!
I never did playU.N. Squadronback in the day, though I don’t see why I wouldn’t absolutely adore as I do most every 16-bit-era shmup. Does anyone else have memories of this game?
