Telltale Games’ 2006 point-and-click adventureSam and Max Save the Worldis to receive a remastered re-release, courtesy of indie outfit Skunkape Games. The episodic adventure will launch December 2 on PC and Nintendo Switch priced at around $20, with a 50% discount for players who own the original release.
The first of what would go on to be a huge catalog of graphic adventures for Telltale Games,Sam and Max Save the Worldsees everyone’s favorite Freelance Police take to the streets in order to solve an increasingly bizarre series of Earth-shaking events, taking the intrepid duo across America, inside the internet, and to the moon and back like Savage Garden.

Sam and Max Save the World Remasteredfeatures enhanced widescreen visuals, support for modern controllers, and an expanded soundtrack. Many members of the original title’s development team are on-board for the remaster, which has the blessing ofSam and Maxcreator Steve Purcell.A new websiteappears to hint that follow up releasesBeyond Time and SpaceandThe Devil’s Playhouseare also in-line for a facelift in the near future.
