Insanity?

The future will hold moreFar Cry, that much is certain. Ubisoft wouldn’t simply quit on one of its two biggest franchises, a series that’s nearly guaranteed to sell well. However, an unexpected twist is that a futureFar Crymay hold more Vaas.

Actor Michael Mando, currently best known asBetter Call Saul‘s Nacho Varga, recently held anAMA on redditwhere he teased the idea that he may return toFar Cry. “Vaas is my spirit animal — having co-created that character is something that will always be dear to me,” Mando said. “I still get recognized as Vaas, and I still feel the outpouring of love for that character, [and it] makes me very happy. Who knows… maybe I will reprise the role very soon?”

Mando suggesting a return is significant because Vaas is the most memorable character in the history ofFar Cry. His Insanity monologue is the stuff of legends, an instant classic in the realm of video game writing. Vaas is so well-loved even though he’s a bad guy,and he’s not even the game’s primary antagonist. So yeah — more Vaas would go over extremely well, as long as Mando isn’t just toying with our emotions and tugging at our heartstrings.
