I think somebody peed in Sega’s corn flakes…
The web siteYTMND.comrecently received a letter from Sega asking them to stopany useof theSonic the Hedgehogcharacter and anything related to it. Theletterthreatened legal actions would be taken if Sonic wasn’t removed from the site.
They also demanded a whole bunch of crazy things too, like ownership of the website, money made from the site and the removal of the web site altogether. I think the letter is just a standard one and these demands don’t count in this case as the whole site isn’t dedicated to Sonic the Hedgehog.
We all seen this kind ofindustry bullbefore and though I’m no lawyer, I doubt any action will be taken against YTMND.com, except that letter. YTMND.com has already responded to Sega on the matter which can be viewed ontheir site.
Sega needs to just learn to laugh at their selves once in a while, just like we laughed at their game,Shadow the Hedgehog.
