Missed opportunity for an easy portmanteau
Sure, we might have unofficially known about its existencesince January, but Sega still wants to wow people with the reveal trailer forTotal War: Warhammer. Pretend to be surprised!
It’s got theWarhammerstaples: humans, orcs, undead, dwarves, and lots of yelling. It sounds like the campaign can be tackled from the perspective of any of the main races, with narrative tweaks depending on that choice.
Total War: Warhammeris only the first in a planned trilogy, which will eventually combine to create “the single largestTotal Warexperience ever.” Given the massive scale of the miniature tabletop battlesWarhammerfans go through, the “go big or go home” mentality is pretty central to the franchise. It makes sense that it would end up as something huge with this franchise mashup.
