Nintendo vs. Sega
Author Blake Harris’Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo, and the Battle that Defined a Generationwill be available in the USthis May, but the story doesn’t end there. Sony Pictures is adapting the book into a feature-length movie, written and directed by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen.
While this is a fascinating topic, one that should make for both a good book and movie, I’m wondering what tone the latter will take with Goldberg and Rogen attached to the project. I adore their past collaborations such asThis Is the End, don’t get me wrong, butConsole Warsdoesn’t sound like it necessarily fits their comedic style. That said,MoneyballandThe Social Networkproducer Scott Rudin is also onConsole Wars, which sounds about right.

On top of Sony Pictures’ film, there’s also going to be a documentary covering Sega’s battle with Nintendo. Harris will co-direct and Goldberg, Rogen, and Rudin are on board as producers.
