Devolver Digital announced this morning that the chaotic and ace-lookingShadow Warrior 3has been pushed further back, and will not meet its 2021 release date — the explosive shooter sequel will launch on PC and consoles in early 2022.
“Shadow Warrior 3needs a bit more time to sharpen its blades so developer Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital are sliding it into early next year!” said Devolverin a short message on Twitter. “Please enjoy the Official 2022 Delay Announcement Trailer – more release date news soon…”
The trailer sees our monster-mashing maniac Lo Wang taking it toShadow Warrior‘s rogues’ gallery, who find themselves — like the rest of us — waiting for the violence to begin. At least I get to catch a very brief glimpse ofm’lady Motoko in action. There’s no denying thatShadow Warrior 3looks like it’s going to be a bombastic and extremely cathartic experience. I’m definitely looking forward to its eventual arrival.
Shadow Warrior 3now joins a painfully stacked release season that also includes Guerrilla Games’Horizon Forbidden West,SNK’sKing of Fighters XV, Sloclap’sSifu, FromSoftware’sElden Ring, Volition’sSaints Row, Ubisoft’sRainbow Six Extraction, Techland’sDying Light 2, Sony’sGran Turismo 7… Well…you get the picture.
