Promises authenticity, not arcade-style play

While I’m of the opinion that we could use more snowboarding games regardless of what specific form the gameplay takes, withSSXstill relatively fresh on our minds, it would be nice to see a high-profile title founded in realism. Perhaps Poppermost Productionswill fill that void with its free-to-play, CryEngine 3-powered PC gameSNOW.

I had never heard of this prior to today, but it sounds highly promising. The Stockholm, Sweden-based studio is partnering with notable freeskiers Tom Wallisch, Tanner Hall, and Russ Henshaw in an attempt to nail realistic gameplay for its open-world title.

Better keep an eye out!
