It’s a Kind of Magic
During Thursday’sgamescom Opening Night Live presentation, developer Proletariat offered up an impressive trailer for its free-to-play magic melee titleSpellbreak,which launches September 3 on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
The hybrid cinematic/gameplay trailer featured a cast of mysterious magic-weavers, battling it out with an array of mystic attacks, substituting the typical gun-and-grenade play of such battle arena titles with an altogether more ethereal arsenal of spells, hexes, and curses.
Players can choose from a range of class-based characters, such as the fiery Pyromancer, the electrifying Conduit, or the ice-wielding Frostborn, before engaging in battle with other witches, wizards, and warlocks in a selection on game modes, all set within the fantasy universe of the Hollow Lands.
Spellbreaklaunches September 3 on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Epic Games Store.
